Clint Wall, Oktibbeha County 4-H’er recently received a $1200 Dixie National Academic scholarship. There are only 25 scholarships awarded annually. Clint was presented this award by Governor and Mrs. Haley Barbour at the Dixie National Sale of Champions in Jackson last week. Clint has been showing registered dairy cattle, commercial dairy heifers and beef cattle for 7 years. He also placed second in the Premier Exhibitor contest and qualifies to attend National Dairy Conference in Wisconsin later this year. He has participated in County, District and State 4-H events. Oktibbeha County 4-H is a youth organization that teaches young people leadership, citizenship and life skills. It is open to youth aged 5-18.

Legislative Day-4-H Banner Club Program
4-H Legislative Day was held this week in Jackson. This year they recognized 4-H Club Records. Top 10 clubs were recognized (4 district, 3 special, top three being governor, Lt governor and speaker of house). Oktibbeha County Longview Club received Speaker of the house. we are so proud of this club. Clover dawgs club also received achievement award.
