NE District Horse Show

Oktibbeha County 4-H Horse Program wins big

Oktibbeha County 4-H hosted the 2011 NE District Horse Show at the MS Horsepark in Starkville June 15-18, 2011. Members showing at the District Horse show were:

Anna, Maggie, Abby, Millie, Amble, Myra, and Levi Thompson; Lillee and Logan Alpe; Doug and Taylor Teague, Noel Teaster, Joy Nabors; Rachel and Hayden Moore; Colby and Cali Freely; Taylor Dunn; Taite Henson; Jadee Sexton, and Lila Carter.

We had the following high point winners:

·         Senior High Point – Rachel Moore

·         Senior High Point Horse – Rachel Moore

·         High Point JR Horse – Millie Thompson

·         2^nd High Point JR Horse – Amble Thompson

·         High Point Western – Rachel Moore

·         2^nd High Point Hunter – Rachel Moore

·         High Point Pony – Millie Thompson

·         High Point County - Oktibbeha

Volunteers sold t-shirts that were designed by the youth. We also held a Silent Auction. Special thanks to Oktibbeha County Extension office staff, volunteers and youth who helped before, during and after the show. The 2011 NE District Horse Show was a success.

Youth that showed at the State Horse Show June 28-July 2, 2011 in Jackson were: Anna, Maggie, Abby, Millie, Amble, Myra, and Levi Thompson; Lillee and Logan Alpe; Rachel and Hayden Moore; Colby and Cali Freely; and Taite Henson.  Oktibbeha County has one youth that will be attending regional Horse Show in Tunica MS later this month – Rachel Moore.
