OFFICE CLOSING

Oktibbeha County Extension Service will be closed for Christmas Holidays starting December 23, 2013 through January 2, 2014. Our first day back at work will be January 3, 2014.

2014 WINTER CLASSIC HORSE SHOWS

Oktibbeha County’s Winter Classic Horse Show will be February 8, 2014 in Chickasaw County. Come support our horse kids and volunteers. You can now download the 4-H Winter Classic Horse Show bill from the website. You can also preregister for the shows on the website. Go to www.4hwinterclassic.com for all information and rule changes.

COUNTY CALENDARS

Oktibbeha County 4-H County Caledars will be available after January 4^th. 

MS 4-H Volunteer Conference

The Mississippi 4-H Volunteer Leaders’ Annual Conference, sponsored by Mississippi State

University will be held February 28- March 1, 2014, in the Bost Extension Conference Center. Our theme this year is "MS 4-H Volunteers: Framing the Future." All delegates are asked to bring item(s) valued at a minimum of $25 for the Live Auction and Silent Auction fundraisers. The registration fee:

• Full-time delegates -$85.00 (includes all workshops, meals, banquet, and annual membership)
• Saturday only - $70  
• Friday Banquet Only - $25

Applications and money are due in our office by January 22, 2014. Applications are at our office. 4-H will reimburse part of registration after event based on the number attending.                                                    

Scholarships are available on first come first serve basis. Only three from our district will be awarded. Please send letter requesting this scholarship to Harvey Gordon, Box 9641, MS State, MS 39762.
